Why is Preventative Maintenance Important for Your HVAC System?

Many people just want their AC to work. They don’t want to think about it. However, we strongly recommend routine maintenance on your HVAC system so that it operates at its designed capacity and efficiency. When it’s not, then the lifespan of the HVAC system is decreased.

By having Uni-Serve Air Conditioning monitor your system or come out periodically for routine maintenance, we are able to detect some failures before they happen. For example, one of the most common repair tasks is replacing a capacitor. Capacitors have a rating measured in Micro Farads. Over time, a capacitor will weaken and will eventually get to the point where it can no longer start your compressor or condenser fan. This means your air conditioning system will NOT operate. During routine checks, the capacitor rating is one thing we measure. If the measurement is below the listed rating, we will suggest replacing it so that your air conditioning system does not go out during the heat of the summer. There are many other things we check and clean so that your system will operate at its designed capacity and efficiency.

Let Uni-Serve give your HVAC system some TLC so we can keep it running as long as we can!
